How do we start support education for my child?

The process usually starts with a medical board report (ÇÖZGER) from a state hospital. You then apply to the Guidance and Research Center (RAM) in your district, where an educational assessment determines which support education fields suit your child.

Once that decision is issued, you can apply to any institution you choose. If you contact us, we'll guide you through both the process and the registration paperwork.

We don't have a RAM report — can we still come?

Yes, you can. No report is needed to use our free developmental screening and family counseling services. In a preliminary meeting we assess the situation together and discuss which steps you should take.

A RAM educational assessment decision is required only for the free, Ministry of National Education-supported support education.

Is support education paid?

For children who receive a support education decision from RAM, a set portion of their monthly sessions is covered by the Ministry of National Education, and families are not charged for those sessions.

The number and scope of monthly sessions is set by the relevant regulations and may be updated from time to time. You can confirm the current status with us or with RAM.

What facilities does your center have?

Our 6,500 m² campus has 88 individual and group education/therapy rooms, a swimming pool, a theatre hall, indoor sports halls, a sensory integration and occupational therapy room, physiotherapy rooms and craft workshops. We support your child's academic, social, sensory and physical development all under one roof.

How long are sessions, and how many days a week do we come?

Session length and the weekly schedule are determined by your child's support education decision and our center's timetable. Individual and group sessions are planned separately.

When building the schedule, we try to take your school hours and transportation into account.

What should we bring to the first meeting?

If you have them, a medical board report, a RAM assessment document, and any previous development reports are enough. If you have none of these, come anyway — the first meeting is simply to get acquainted and understand the situation.

We recommend bringing your child if possible; getting to know them is the most important part of the process.

How is the family involved in the process?

We hold family meetings at regular intervals and share your child's goals and progress with you. We also suggest simple activities you can do at home.

For a skill learned in the therapy room to stick, it usually needs to be repeated at home.

Can my child get support while still attending school?

Yes. Support education doesn't replace formal schooling — it runs alongside it. We try to schedule your program outside school hours.

If you request it, we can also communicate with your child's school.

How long until we see results?

The only honest answer to this question is: it varies. The child's age, area of development, when support began, and consistency at home are among the main factors that determine the outcome.

We don't promise you a fixed timeline. Instead, we set small, measurable goals and review progress together at regular intervals.

The information here is for general guidance only. Because regulations and practice around support education can change from time to time, we recommend confirming details specific to your situation with us or with your local Guidance and Research Center.
